Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device to remember information about your visit. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and pixel tags — all governed by the same rules in this policy.

2. How ONRIGHTS uses cookies

By default we only set cookies that are strictly necessary to serve the site (routing, language preference, security). All other cookies — including analytics — are loaded only after you give consent through the banner shown on your first visit.

You can manage your preferences at any time by clicking the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. Withdrawing is one click and takes effect immediately: we stop recording, discard the session identifier and delete the storage described below.

3. Cookie categories on this site

3.1 Strictly necessary

Required for the site to function. Cannot be disabled. Examples: locale routing (NEXT_LOCALE), and your consent decision itself, stored in your browser under onr.consent.v1. The consent record never leaves your device.

3.2 Measurement (consent required)

With your consent we use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to understand how the site is used. This covers:

  • Product analytics — which pages are viewed, which steps of the enquiry form are completed or abandoned. Stored under ph_* cookies and local storage.
  • Session replay — a reconstruction of how the page responded to your clicks and scrolling. Everything you type is masked before it leaves your browser, and the free-text fields of the enquiry form are excluded from recording entirely. We see where people hesitate, not what they wrote.
  • Heatmaps — aggregated click and scroll positions.
  • Surveys and error reports — optional in-page questions, and automatic reports when something breaks.

We also use Vercel Analytics for aggregate page-view and performance signals, behind the same consent.

3.3 Functional and marketing

Currently none. If we add marketing pixels (LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Ads conversion) in the future, they will be added to the banner categories and will not fire until you opt in.

4. Third-party processors

  • PostHog — product analytics, session replay, heatmaps, surveys and error reporting, once measurement consent is granted. Processed in the European Union. Requests are routed through this domain rather than to PostHog directly.
  • Vercel Analytics — page-view aggregation once measurement consent is granted.

5. Managing consent

You may withdraw or change your consent at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. Clearing your browser storage also re-opens the banner on your next visit. If we change what we measure, we ask again rather than relying on the consent you gave to the previous purposes.
